Ritzy at 8 weeks pregnant. Yes she is standing half on a couch and half on a table!

5th of March. Nesting, panting.

We decided to use an old duvet for whelping this time, which could then be thrown away.

Turned out to be much better than newspapers as it soaked all liquids up. Ritzy was quite happy with her comfort.

First puppy born 2.20 am on Monday the 6th of March 2017. A dog. (Green collar later)

Second pup followed quickly at 2.24 am, a bitch. (Purple collar later)

Third pup born at 2.38 am, bitch. (Pink collar later)

The fourth pup appeared at 3 am, a bitch. (Red collar later)

Forgot to take a photo of pup number five's arrival, but it was a dog at 4.15 am, so after a bit of a break. (Black collar later)

Pup number six, a dog, arrived at 4.45 am. (Orange collar later)

 Clean bedding -which did not stay properly clean for more than a moment!

Tired Ritzy

Here we all are, with ID collars on. Pink, red and purple are the bitches, black, orange and green the dogs. Pink is smaller than the rest but very strong so I am sure she will catch up.
