The first week of life

Sorry for a slow update -Crufts got in the way!
One day old. Not the best of photos as it was taken with my phone.
 2 days old (8th of March 2017)
Pink was the smallest pup at birth, and it's now becoming obvious she is quite a lot smaller than the others. But she is strong. However to help her she is being topped up with bottlefeeds.
Pile of 2 day old pups
9th of March, 3 days old. Pink is doing her best to squeeze in.
3 days
10th of March; 4 days old. Pink is now half the size of her siblings. I am never one to try to rear a puppy that may grow up to be weak and sickly, that's simply selfish, but I have never come across a pup like this before. She is very strong. She has an amazing suck reflex. If she wasn't so much smaller than her siblings, and therefore often gets pushed out of the way, she would not need extra feeds. At the moment she is certainly not suffering, and she will see the best vet on Friday the 17th to have a thorough check up.
 4 days old
The size difference really is enormous

The 11th and the 12th we were at Crufts (my stepson stayed with the dogs at home) so I did not get any photos taken those days as we left early and were home late.
If you watched the live Crufts coverage on YouTube on Saturday the 11th you may have spotted our breeder group competing in the big ring. The pups' father Rex is the one in front.
